For a Sweet Friend!!

Good morning stampers!!! I got a wonderful package in the mail this week from Sweden!! Can you guess what was in it?? YEP!! It was a Design Team package from Magnolia and I got some awesome new stamps!! There were several from the last release that I REALLY wanted to buy, but I held off.....it was painful, let me tell ya! But, as I said before, I'm trying not to buy stamps I don't NEED!! (But don't we NEED them all??)

Anyway, today's card features two of those wonderful new stamps from the Love Collection! I stamped the Love Muffin and Tilda on separate pieces of Wausau cardstock, coloured them with my Copic markers and then cut them out. The card base is Bazzill cardstock in a coral colour and the patterned paper is Two Scoops by Basic Grey. I ran the strip of Certainly Celery through my Cuttlebug and embossed it using the Swiss Dots folder. The main layer is BG dp which I sponged with Baja Breeze ink and then matted it on Baja Breeze cardstock.

The cute little sentiment is from AmyR's new Friends Sentiment set which is being released at All That Scraps on Monday!! It's a fabulous set of sentiments with mixed fonts, which is my fave!! I stamped it on Soft Sky and pop dotted the whole layer. I added some Baja Breeze wide grosgrain ribbon and attached these yummy satin Prima flowers with glittery brads!! Voila!! Isn't she SWEET???

So I work all day today.....booooooo! But then Andrea is coming over tonight and we will be preparing for our Bella class which is next weekend! We've picked out some awesome new papers and four different sassy Bellas to play with!! You know you wanna play with us! Heehee! If you live in the London/St. Thomas area, be sure to sign up for the class. Here is the link to the info (our class is about halfway down the page) and spots are filling up quickly!! Hope you can come and get inky with us next weekend!!!

Have a stampin' good Saturday!!!

Oh Boy!!

I had fun making a couple of boyish cards the other day using Things That Go from Lizzie Anne Designs. As I'm sure you're aware, I'm a bit of a girly girl and I don't make a lot of boy stuff! So it's a bit of a challenge for me. And you know how I love a challenge!!

So I pulled out some Basic Grey paper, called Oh Baby Boy! that has been sitting on my shelf for a while, and drew on the colours from the patterned paper. For the first one I used the skateboard image and my large oval punch. The card base is Brocade Blue with Green Galore for matting. I added some velvet orange brads, some orange grosgrain ribbon and tore the bottom of the papers. I added the sentiment and paper pierced a couple of rows of holes at the bottom.

For the second card, I used the schoolbus image. The card base is Apricot Appeal with Brocade Blue for matting and a piece of Green Galore across the center. I used my new EK Success border punch across the bottom (and it works great by the way). I added some green brads in the top corners, added some polka dot ribbon and pop dotted the image.

I just love the bright, springy colours in these designs! I know exactly who to send them to, too!

Well, I'm off this morning but working this afternoon and evening. AND all day tomorrow. Blech. Hope you have a great weekend!!!

Stylish Friends!!

Well, it's time for another stamp release over at All That Scraps. Today the DT is featuring the new Friends sentiment set by AmyR. My favourite thing about Amy's sentiments, is the mixture of different fonts, not only in the set but also in each sentiment itself. I love to mix it up!!

I decided to use one of The Glam Girls on this card. I pulled out my Sweet Always dp by SU because I LOVE the polka dotted paper....it's so sassy! The card base is Chocolate Chip and I used Pumpkin Pie, Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink for matting. I paper pieced her pants and coloured her in with my Copics. I used my Stardust Sakura gel pen for her sunglasses, pop dotted her and the sentiment and added an orange Prima flower with a velvet chocolate flower brad by Imaginisce in the center. I think Amy's sentiment is perfect for this card.

There are lots of other fabulous friend sentiments in this set and if you pop over to the ATS Blog, you can see some of the DT's creations. Also you could win this set of new stamps!! So what are you waiting for???

Well, I have the day off today, so I'm going to be in my stamp room...aren't you shocked?? Hehe! Have a good one!!

I Got Anyas!!!!!

Okay, now I've really been trying to hold back from buying and stamps lately. I mean, I'm on a *few* design teams so I get more than enough stamps that way and I barely have enough time to use them! But when I heard that The Town Scrapper got a shipment of Greeting Farm stamps in.....I HAD to have them!!!

So the first one I played with was Mermaid Anya....she was so lovely to colour! I guess I have a thing for mermaids this week. (See Bella Mermaid here!) I pulled out my Two Scoops dp by Basic Grey and used the colours from that, to choose my Copic markers. I coloured the image and then cut her out. The card base is Baja Breeze and the layout is this week's Friday Sketchers sketch! I used a High Hopes sentiment, used my Nesties to cut out the main layer and attached some Prima flowers with Making Memories flower brads. The finished touch was adding some Stardust Stickles in her hair and on the flowers!!

Well, I don't have to work until later on this evening, so I'm gonna be stampin' the day away! Hope you get inky too!!

Mojo Bike-a-Bella....and a Bella CLASS!!!

Well, yesterday was a full day of stampin' for me. I had the day off so I spent it working on some samples for upcoming releases. After finishing up a few mandatory things, I decided to stamp something just for fun!!

I call her Bike-a-Bella but her official name is I-wish-I-looked-so-good-on-a-bikeabella....kinda long, isn't it?? haha! But ohsocute!!! I used this week's Mojo 75 sketch and it worked perfectly with the image, I think.

The papers are from Chloe's Closet by Making Memories and the cardstocks I used are Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango and Brocade Blue. I used my new EK Success border punch across the BB layer, added some striped grosgrain ribbon and some Prima hydrangeas. I think she looks FAB!!!

Do you love Bellas, like I love Bellas??? Well, if you live in the London/St. Thomas area, you can come and take a Bella Class!!! Doesn't that sound fun??? My stampin' soul sistah, Andrea and I (otherwise known as the Dynamic Duo....*giggle*) will be teaching a Bella class at Scrappin' Great Deals on Saturday March 7th in the afternoon!! We will be making four different Bella creations using yummy coloured cardstocks, beautiful designer papers, wonderful embellishments and lots of sparkle!! We haven't designed the cards yet though...we're having a tough time choosing which Bellas to use!!! Maybe we'll just have to do several Bella classes!!! If you would like to sign up to come and play with us, just head over to the Crops and Classes page at SGD to find out more!! Hurry though, as spaces are limited!! Andrea and I are SO excited to stamp with you!!!!

Okay, I'm off to work today! I guess I should show up at the library once in a while, huh?! Haha! I love having four days off, but going back is so hard!! Have a stampin' good day!!!

'Cause She's Got Hiiiiiiigh Hopes!!!

Well, you'll be happy to know that my precious Copic markers are home, safe and sound! (You can read yesterday's story here.) We drove over to Andrea's place yesterday afternoon to rescue them....I mean pick them up. I know they were in fine hands, but I'm sure they felt abandoned and I don't blame them. I almost hugged them and kissed them when I saw them, waiting for me, but that would have just been embarassing. What....too dramatic??? I gave them the day off yesterday, to recuperate from their traumatic experience but today they'll get some lovin', because I don't have to work today!! yaaaay!!

Today's card features another new High Hopes image!! This one is Hopeful Ant!! I used Kraft cardstock again for the base and some plaid DCWV patterned paper. I coloured the image in using my precious Copic markers and matted it in Real Red. I just love the ant in purple! I pop dotted the main layer, stamped the sentiment on Sahara Sand and punched it out with my small oval punch and added a pretty flower cluster, using a Basic Grey button and some linen thread.

Well, as I said I have the day off and lots of stamping to do, so I'd better get started! Have a wonderfully inky day!!

I've Been Waiting For Heifer......

This week's High Hopes Challenge #19, brought to us by Amy, is to use sponging on your design!! Well, when I think sponging, I think distressing! And when I think distressing, I like to rough up the edges of my papers as well as sponge them....just have to get the full effect of the distressing, know what I mean??

So I inked up Maribelle Cow and coloured her up with my Copic markers. I used Blush dp by Basic Grey, Close to Cocoa for the base and accented with Pink Pirouette. I sponged the main image and all the dp with Close to Cocoa ink and then roughed up all the edges using my scissors. I pop dotted the cow, added some BG buttons with hemp twine and added the perfect sentiment!!

I made this card yesterday while I was at Andrea's house! I packed up a small portion of my craft room (which ended up filling the entire back seat of my car) and arrived around 10:45am. We got busy doing a little sumpin', sumpin' for Scrappin' Great Deals (can't spill the beans just yet, but we'll share the deets with you around the beginning of March). Then we started stampin'!! Andrea's pal Diane came over to play for a bit too! We got LOTS accomplished (in between the lauging and goofing around). Andrea's hubby is the best!! He ran out and picked up Wendy's for lunch for us AND stopped at Timmie's for coffee etc. Then he made up sub sandwiches with all the fixin's for din-din!! We stopped and watched Dark Knight while we ate and had a little break from stampin'.

Andrea's girls are just a hoot! I love them!! Kaitlyn is 9 and she is an awesome little scrapbooker! She showed me the book she is working on right now and she does an amazing job!!! And Jaime is 12 and she showed me the girls' bedroom with all the super cool Twilight posters covering an entire wall!! Hi girls!! *waving*

The weather was pretty bad yesterday with a bit of a snowstorm, so I was planning to stay overnight at Andrea's. But when we finished stampin', around 12:30am (how's that for marathon stamping?), it was pretty clear outside, so I drove home. Well, as I was typing this, I got an email from Andrea telling me, oh so delicately, that I had left my big black rolling tote bag over there and guess what it has in it?? ALL my Copic markers!!!!!! OH YES!!! I have a bit of a nauseous feeling going on right now, so I think I'm going to go lie down... I feel so naked......I can't stamp right now!!! WHAT?? Everything's going black.....I may pass out......guess I should have stayed overnight!!

Well, hope YOU have a good day..........

Have a Magical Day!!!

Good Saturday morning, stampers!! Aren't you glad it's the weekend?? I know I am!!

I got myself the new UnderwatergodessaBella stamp....isn't she beautiful?? Yesterday morning I decided that I was going to make a just-for-fun card and I used Bella Sketch Challenge #68 that is on the SCS forum.

I pulled out my My Mind's Eye papers and Tangerine Tango cardstock for the base. I stamped Bella on Wausau bright white cardstock and coloured her in using my Copic markers. I stamped the sentiment (which comes with the stamp, by the way) and punched it out using my large oval punch. I used my Nesties to cut her out and emboss her and added a trio of orange brads along the side. I pop dotted everything and painted her scales, bra shells and headress with Gold Glimmer Shimmerz!! I added a couple of star buttons, too...but don't ask me where I got them...they've been in my stash for years!!

Well, I am in the midst of packing up a bunch of my stamping supplies and heading over to my stampin' soul sistah's house!! We are stampin' the ENTIRE day!!! I'm bringing a car load of stuff, so I hope they are prepared! *wink* Well, it's all stuff I really need....like pretty much all my Copics, ink, white paper, patterned paper, my Grab n' Go, my Cuttlebug, all my Nesties, my Ott Lite, my laptop, an assortment of stamps, of course....some nibbles for sustenance...and a change of clothes!! No I'm serious!! Apparently we are expected to get a big ol' snowstorm this afternoon and evening and I just might get stuck there overnight!! I hope the girls don't mind me campin' out on their floor!! hahaha!! HI JAMIE AND KAITLYN!!! Fun Aunt Kimmie's comin' to stay!! Heehee!!!

Anyhooooo, hope you have as much fun on your Saturday as I'm going to have!!! Inky Hugs!!!

Rockin' Out with Teddy!!

TGIF!!! I don't know about you, but I'm super glad it's Friday!! It's been a long week and I'm exhausted! I'm SO lucky that I have the next four days off!! Can you say inky???

Today's card is a special request I had, to make a card using that cuddly little Rockin' Teddy from CCDesigns. I picked out some glittery DCWV dp which has black and greys in it and accented with Almost Amethyst.

I coloured Teddy using coordinating Copic markers and made his 'makeup' sparkly using my Stardust Sakura gel pen. I added some star brads from my Hodgepodge Hardware and some lilac twill. I punched some stars out from some silver glitter paper, also from DCWV and pop dotted the main layer and one star. The sentiment is stamped on AA paper and popped up!!

Well, I'll be stamping the morning away, then picking Emileigh and her best friend up from school this afternoon. We are going to Petrolia to The Town Scrapper to meet my Mom and Dad (after stamp shopping, of course), having supper and then the girls are going home with them for the weekend!! How fun!!

Happy Friday!!!

Things That Goooooooo.....

I've got so much going on, I'm posting twice today, so be sure to scroll down to check out the last post!

Lizzie Anne Designs has released some really wonderful images this quarter and this month I got to play with Things That Go!! What a great boyish set for all the little men in my life!!

The first card I made just this past weekend and I used the fun little car in the set. I also used some of the wonderful LAD patterned paper!!! I used Certainly Celery for the card base and layered some of the yummy paper on top.

I stamped the car on Wausau bright white cardstock using Memento ink and coloured it with my Copics. I added some white twill across the card and attached a brown button with some hemp twine, then pop dotted the card and stamped the sentiment on the bottom.

The second card is a TAD more colourful!! hehe!! I stamped the boat twice and coloured it in, then cut one of them out and pop dotted it on top of the other. I used Brocade Blue for the base and some flashy DCWV dp and matted with Green Galore, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red! I added two rows of striped blue ribbon from May Arts, pop dotted the main layer and added the sentiment. I think this is my favourite sentiment from the whole set!! Hehee!!

Well, I hope everyone has a fabby day!!! It's very cold and windy here...again!! And I have to work 1-8:30pm....BUT then I'm off for four whole days!!! And I'm going to stamp my little heart out!!! Aaaahhhh...bliss!

Shirley's 2 Girls....and a Challenge!!!

I have been asked to join yet another amazing stamp company!! This one is BRAND new and you may not have even heard of it yet....it's called Shirley's 2 Girls and we are the Ladies With Attitude!!! Oh yes, you knew I'd fit right in didn't you??? Hehe!

There are some amazing women on the DT and you can find links to their blogs on my sidebar there. Go have a look-see!! Also you can go straight to their website and have a boo at their wonderful, whimsical art stamps that are made of the best quality non-yellowing photopolmer....and I've used them and this stuff is thick and heavy and it's definitely not going to rip either!!

Here are a couple of cards that I have made using these sassy new stamps!! The first one is using Cat in Grass and I think he looks like he's about to get into trouble, don't you?? I used Kraft cardstock for the card base (I'm lovin' using that stuff lately) and a strip of some of my favourite MME patterned paper....love the polka dots.

I stamped the image twice, coloured them and cut just the front part of the cat out of one of the images. I pop dotted it onto the whole image and then matted it on Pretty in Pink cardstock. I added a piece of Soft Sky, pop dotted the main layer and added some yummy pink satin ribbon from American Crafts. The sentiment is stamped directly on the card base.

The second card is made using the Break and Mend stamp which I just love!! I used Kraft base again and used some Crate Paper dp along with some Groovy Guava cardstock and some delicious ribbon that I picked up at Michael's eons ago! I coloured the image with Copics (again), matted it on Groovy Guava, pop dotted it and added a big green button with some hemp twine. I just love that sentiment. I really feel that if we don't start paying attention to our world and what is going on around us, pretty soon we won't be able to fix what has happened to it!!

And on THAT note, Shirley's 2 Girls has an awesome challenge for you this week!!! It's a GREEN challenge and they have a great little template for you to download, so head on over to the blog and get all the details (including what you could WIN)!!!

Well, I hope you like my first S2Gs offerings...I really had fun playing with them!!

Let's *Twist* Again!!

You've seen MFT's Twisted Sentiments set, haven't you?? You may even own it!! Well, now it's time for Twisted Two!!! We're blog hoppin' again and if you want to start from the beginning, head on over to the MFT Lady's blog!!

Twisted Too is not for the faint of heart, this stamp set is twisted and oh so hilarious! Use it to say JUST the right thing... when the right thing may be SO wrong.

I chose to go with some of the tamer sentiments for my cards today! The first one I used along with one of the lovely purse images from Tote-ally Fantastic. The card base is Baja Breeze along with Chocolate Chip for matting. The dp is Parisian Breeze by SU and the wonderful sketch is MFT Sketch Challenge #60 from back in December. I used my Copics to colour the purse in, used my Nesties to cut it out and pop dotted it. I added some velvet chocolate scalloped ribbon at the bottom, some kraft taffeta ribbon across the middle and some brown buttons. Is that sentiment a hoot, or what??

The second card was made by pairing up the gal from the Bunny Slippers set with this perfect sentiment!! I used some Crate paper dp, Certainly Celery for the base and Groovy Guava to mat. I attached some sweet Prima flowers with a glittery brad and tied on some GG ribbon. Of course I used my Copic markers and pop dotted everything....you should know that by now. OH and the layout is from Sketch Challenge 215 over at SCS. This sentiment just makes me *snort* out loud.....do you ever get up in the morning and just know as soon as your feet hit the floor, that it's going to be one of THOSE kinds of days??? hahaha!

Twisted Two has so many bust-a-gut sentiments in it, including: This is Not a Costume, I AM a Witch....Drinks Well With Others....What's Up With That?...Breaking News! Hell has Officially Frozen Over!!...and my fave....It's not PMS, it's YOU!!!!

This set is now available for purchase over at the MFT website along with some yummy new MFT Paper Packs in both the Spring and the Summer lines!! SO delicious!!

Now on with the HOP!! Your next stop is the blow-my-mind-talented Amy Sheffer!!! Go see what brilliance she has in store for ya!!!

Have a super stampy day!!

WOJ Spring Kit!!

I've got some exciting Whiff of Joy breaking news this morning!!! Heehee! For those of you that I enabled....I mean, encouraged....to place your order for the WOJ Spring Kit, I can tell you that they have all been shipped and are on their way to you right now!!!! For those of you who didn't order....don't fret...the single images will be available on the website by the end of the week!!! And today I am finally able to show you one of the images!! Yaaaaaaay!

All the images in the kit are from the amazing illustrator, Elisabeth Bell and they are gorgeous!! I just love this one of the little girl and her basket of flowers!! I used Kraft cardstock for the 6x6 base and matted with Baja Breeze. The dp I used is this wonderful heavyweight textured cardstock by SU called Parisian Breeze. It's yummy! The layout is from the Friday Sketchers challenge for this week and I love it!

I stamped the image on Wausau bright white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used my Copic markers to colour her in, along with my Nesties to cut her out. I made the sentiment layer using some Stylized Silver hodgepodge hardware and attached some white Magenta flowers with more hardware, pop dotted the main layer and added some Baja Breeze striped ribbon. I also added a lovely little heart charm that Katharina sent me in a wonderful stash of charms!!

Be sure to check out the blogs from the other WOJ Design Team members as they have some more awesome creations using the new kit!!

I'm off to work all day today but I hope you have a wonderfully inky day!!!

Kim and Tara Challenge #5!!

It's time for another challenge between my friend Tara and I! I sent her an image and she sent me some dp and we see what we come up with, given the same ingredients!

Well, the lovely papers that Tara sent are new Fancy Pants by Michelle Coleman and the colours are lovely. So I coloured the image, which is Jenny's Glow Bugs by High Hopes, using my Copic markers in coordinating colours. I used my Curved Rectangle Nestabilties to cut her out and emboss the frame and I covered the jar of fireflies with crystal lacquer to make it look like a real jar.

The card base is a 6x6 Tempting Turquoise square and everything else is dp. I added a strip of pink taffeta ribbon and some crocheted lacey ribbon by Chatterbox layered over top. The turquoise felt flowers are also by Chatterbox and the flower brad in the middle is by Imaginisce. Finally, the sentiment is stamped directly onto the dp!

Be sure to slide over to the High Hopes website as they've just released a TON of new images and sentiments over the weekend, so check 'em out!

Well, this has been yet another successful challenge between Tara and myself! Head on over to Tara's blog, Inking on the Edge to see how she made out with the challenge!!

Today is Family Day so the schools are closed and I've got the day off work. So later this morning I am picking my girllfriend, Donna up and we are heading over to a few stamping stores to do some shopping!! Heehee! Have a great day!!

You can use bunnies, chicks, lambs....or just some nice flowers....think Spring!!! I know I am right now!! It snowed again here yesterday!! Crazy, I tell ya!!

For my card, I used the new Bunny Blooms image and coloured her in with my Copic markers. The papers I used are some lovely textured patterned papers by My Mind's Eye and the card base is Close to Cocoa. I distressed around all the edges, added some sheer ribbon and attached some Prima flowers with Basic Grey brads. Then I pop dotted everything and added the Hoppy Easter sentiment!
