Summer Sugarplums!!!

Meet Emma!! She is one of the new Sugarplums by CCDesigns! And she looks much cuter in her polka dot bikini than I do, that's for sure! Heehee!

Christine has added Emma and her pal Trevor (who I'll introduce you to tomorrow, if ya come on back) to the line of Sugarplum stamps and they are being released, along with several other awesome new sets, on Monday!

I wanted this to be a bright, summery card of course, so I pulled out some fun SEI dp and used Orchid Opulence, Tangerine Tango and Regal Rose cardstock. I stamped Emma on 150lb Canson paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her with my Copics.

And do you see those yummy crocheted flowers??? I made 'em! Yep! Bet you didn't know I can crochet.....and knit too! Hehe! I just keep seeing all these adorable flowers all over people's projects and I thought, I can do that too! These are the first ones I've made and I'm going to play around with different patterns and different yarns. But these ones just happened to go perfectly with this paper!!

The sentiment is from a new set that is going to be released on Monday too....but I'll tell you more about it later this week!!

Be sure to head over to the ATSBlog and check out the other designs posted there for your viewing pleasure. And while you're there, why not enter to win a set of these cuties for yourself!?

Kay....back to work for me again today. Sheesh, I'm workin' full time hours this week and I don't like it one bit!! haha! Not enough krafty time, that's for sure!!!

Have a super stampy day!!

Butterfly Wishes!!

I got a chance yesterday (before I headed in to work) to join in with this week's Just Magnolia challenge! This is a new challenge blog to use....you guessed it....just Magnolia stamps! haha! This is great because I have so many of them and it gives me a great excuse to pull them out and play with them!

This girlie is from the new Spring Kit release. The challenge was to use Pink and Green on your design, so I pulled out some of this awesome Daisy D's paper that my Momma picked up for me (along with a few other packs). I stamped Tilda on Canson 150lb cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her in using my Copic markers. The card base is Bazzill Bling and I matted with Gable Green. I layered up some Prima and Magenta flowers along with a jewellery spacer and attached them with green glitter brads. I used wide satin ribbon and attached a butterfly charm with silver cord. The sentiment is from Stampingbella and I pop dotted the main layer and added a trio of sparkly rhinestones!!

Be sure to come back and see me tomorrow as I've got some 'sun-sational' samples for the upcoming CCDesigns release!!! heehee! Have a stampin' great day!!

Black Haired Cutie!

Here is a Tilda that I coloured a little while ago. Someone asked me how to colour black hair. I don't think I've ever done black hair before, so I pulled out several shades of cool gray copics and this is how she looks!! Pretty cool, huh?

This one is on it's way to Sweden at the Magnolia store. I used Tilda with Puppy and stamped her on Wausau bright white cardstock and coloured her with my Copics. The card base was supplied by Magnolia and I added Regal Rose and Bashful Blue cardstock along with the glittery dp from DCWV. I used my Nesties to cut her out and pop dotted her. I used my slot punch to make the hole to thread through some light blue Martha Stewart ribbon. I added some Prima flowers, brads and purple rhinestones!! So blingy! I also used my very first build-a-brad! I built it!! Yay me!

Well, the weather is starting to get warmer here in Ontario. And I'm not likin' it! What? you say....well, apparently over the winter, I've gained a few pounds back because my spring/summer pants are a tad too tight. Grrr. Anyone else in the same predicament?? I don't wanna go out and buy new ones but do I really want to starve myself again? Well, not starve exactly, but suffer tremendously anyway. I hate dieting and I hate excercise. Who's with me????

Happy Monday.....Here's the Dirt!!!

Well, it's been an extremely long week for me, so I'm looking forward to the start of a new one. Last weekend my husband had an episode and we made several trips to the hospital over the whole week. It was very stressful and tiring, both physically and mentally. Thankfully he is feeling much better now, but it took it's toll on us. Add to that the fact that I worked six days and taught two evening classes and I was exhausted!!! So I took yesterday off and didn't post or really do much of anything else! (except stamp a little...hehe).

This card is one I designed for one of our upcoming Copics classes at Scrappin' Great Deals. This one features Gordon Groundhog...isn't he the cutest??? I think he's my fave from this new release.....next to Sweet Dreams. Anyway, all the cardstock used in this card is Bazzill Bling. The white I used is Wausau bright white cardstock and of course I used my Copics to colour him in. Don't you love his jeans??

The patterned paper is by Bo Bunny and I thought it would be perfect for this hard workin' fella. I stamped the sentiment directly on the dp, added brads to the corners and pop dotted the main image. You like??

Anyway, this is just one of four designs the ladies will be making at this class. We are actually running it twice....once on Saturday, May 3rd and for those who can't make it on the weekend, we are running it again on Friday, May 15th. Give Sheila a call at SGD to reserve your spot!!

OH and big news....Sheila has a new supplier for the Copics and she got her first shipment on Friday with another one coming sooooooon! And she's starting to carry refills too....yaaaaaaaay!!

Well, I'm off to work early this morning. I'm working a lot again this week as one of the gals is off on holidays. *sigh* It's gonna be another fun day, I'm sure!! Happy stampin'!!

You're a Real Lifesaver!!

Well, it's official! The new Lizzie Anne Designs are up on the website!! And for today only, every order will receive a free pack of French Floral paper! Woohoo!

I think this little gal is my favourite of the new stamps. You know how I love the Little People! Well, this is Lifesaver Girl and she comes with the great sentiment too!

I used some nice bright colours and this Imaginisce paper. The card base is Pacific Point and also Real Red and Marigold Morning. I used my new Nesties and my new Effervesence border punch. I added some Certainly Celery twill and some buttons in the corner.

I'm off to work ALL stinkin' day today...booooooooooo! It's much too nice outside to be stuck indoors working. Now stuck indoors stamping is another story! Haha! Have a fabulous Saturday!!

Hey Supergirl.....

Here's another creation for tomorrow's Lizzie Anne Designs release....this one is the sentiment to go with Supergirl!! Love these Little People stamps!

I used a sparkly striped design from the new Citrus DCWV stack, along with some sparkly green paper for the stars. The card base is Pumpkin Pie and the rest is from the stack as well. I stamped Supergirl on Wausau paper and coloured her in using Copic markers. I stamped the new sentiment right on the base and pop dotted everything!

Don't forget that all of these new stamp sets and digital papers will be available tomorrow...Saturday, April 25th!! Be sure to hop over to the LAD Blog to check out ALL the new stuff and to put your name in for some blog candy!!!

Also....super cool news....every order placed on release day, April 25th, will receive a FREE pack of our French Floral designer paper! No code required...it will be automatically added to your order!

Well, I hope you get to enjoy the sunny weather we are having. Sadly, I will be at work until late AND I have to work all day tomorrow. *sigh* Happy stampin'!!

New Lizzie Anne Designs!!!

Hidee ho good stampers!! Did you hear??? Lizzie Anne Designs is releasing a BUNCH of new stamps and products this Saturday, April 25th!! Be sure to stop over at the LAD Blog where they are revealing them all, one by one, and leave comments in order to be entered to win some awesome rubbah!!

My card today features TWO new items from LAD! Firstly, the sentiment is from an amazing new set, Everyday Sayings, which contains 21 fabulous sentiments in 5 different super cool fonts! I think it's quickly becoming my 'go to' sentiment set!

Secondly, this design features LAD's new DIGITAL PAPER!!! How cool is that?? Isn't it lovely?? Here is what they say about the new digi-paper on the LAD Blog: Digital paper is a trend that is growing more popular by the day, and it's definitely a product that is right up our alley to design! We have so many ideas for LAD-inspired digital papers we can hardly keep up. So often we've looked for the perfect paper to match our stamp images and this allows us to offer it to you...and lots of it! We will continue to build our digital paper collection. For this release we are starting with four paper offerings...Garden Inspirations, Gizmos and Gears, Perfect Polkas, and a fourth that we can't reveal until Friday because it matches a set we are revealing that day. :)

The patterned paper that I used is from the paper pack that is being revealed on Friday, so I can't tell you the name. But it's SO pretty! I used Kraft cardstock for the card base and accented with Certainly Celery, So Saffron and the blue is Bazzill Bling cardstock. I stamped the flowers from the High Hellos stamp set to make them look like they are growing....so that it went with the cute saying, 'What's Up??' I coloured them in using my Copic markers and added some sparkle with my Stardust Sakura gel pen.

Hop on over to the other Design Team members' blogs and see what they've got to show you. Their links are in my sidebar. And I'll be back tomorrow with some more sneaky peeks!!

Off to work again!! Have a super stampy day!!

Tink Anya!!

Good Wednesday morning, stampers!! I have a sparkly Anya for you today!!!

I got my new Anyas from All That Scraps a couple of weeks ago, but I know that The Town Scrapper is expecting a shipment any day now if you are local. This one is Tink and is one of the trio of fairy stamps they just released.

I stamped her on 150lb Canson paper and used my Copic markers to colour her in. I used the colours from this DCWV glitter paper and the cardstocks are Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze and the green strip if Bazzill Bling. I used my Pinking Circles Nesties to cut her out and emboss her and I used my new Apron Lace Fiskars border punch across the bottom. I pop dotted the main layer, added some satin ribbon and then painted her pretty wings with Shimmerz to make them allllll sparkly!!

Well, I'm busy this morning preparing for a class I am teaching tonight at the library. I'm working this afternoon and then going back in to set up and teach the class. It's a beginners cardmaking class and I'm full with a waiting list of about 6, so I'd better get cracking. Hope you have a great day!!

Kick Up Your Heels!!

Hey there ladies! Sorry I'm late posting this morning, but we had a rather eventful evening. I got home around 11pm after teaching a class at SGD.....hi ladies...*wave*, and then I had a sick husband to look after. Then I had to get up eeeeearly this morning to take my daughter to school for 6:30am as she is in a badminton tournament about an hour away from here. So I went back to bed and just got up now. Aaaaah.

Anyhoo, today's card is one I made for last week's sketch challenge over at Splitcoast. I used this wonderful image and sentiment from High Hopes and the papers are from the Flower Patch 6x6 pad by Making Memories. The card base is Soft Sky with Blush Blossom and Cameo Coral for matting. Of course I used my Copic markers to colour, pop dotted the main layer and added a button with some ribbon!

I'm off to work this afternoon, so no time to stamp for me! Hope you get inky!!!

Shy Tilda and a Copic Class!

Well, it's Monday again....yuck. The start of another busy week. I work 6 days at the library plus I'm teaching three classes in the evening.....trust me, it wasn't planned that way! haha!! Oh well, I'll have to make sure that I get LOTS of sleep!

Today's card is actually the first one that I made with my favourite new paper for Copics....150lb Canson drawing paper. I just loved the way the colour laid down on this paper and the shades are less stark and blend better on this paper. You can read more about it here.

I stamped Shy Tilda on my new paper (I think The Town Scrapper might still have this stamp) using Memento ink and I used my Copics to colour and shade her. The papers I used are by Dream Street and all the cardstock is Bazzill Bling....I looooove me some bling!

I added some satin ribbon across the middle and a flower charm that came all the way from Switzerland from my friend Katharina. I pop dotted the main layer and added a couple of pink brads. So soft and sweet.

I'll also share with you one of the cards that we'll be making tonight at a Copics 101 class that my pal Andrea and I are teaching at Scrappin' Great Deals. This one used Odie by High Hopes. It's a very simple card because we are focusing on the colouring and learning how to use the Copics in different ways. You can see one of my other designs for tonight HERE....you'll actually be making 4 awesome designs...these are just a couple. We taught this class on a Saturday, but we are reteaching it tonight for those who needed a weeknight class. If you'd like to join us for some colouring, some papercrafting and LOTS of fun, just call Sheila at the store....there are only a couple of spots left!

Okay, well I don't work at the library until this afternoon, so I'm going to prepare everything for tonight's class and package up some of my cards to sell in the store. Then I'm going to try to work on some samples for the new Lizzie Anne Designs release and the sneak peeks start on Wednesday!!! Hahaaaaaa!

High Hopes Challenge #27!!

So who's stressed?? Okay, better question...who isn't stressed?? haha!! This week for the challenge on the High Hopes blog, I thought I'd try to de-stress you all by getting you to dis-tress your cards!!! Think it'll work?? Let's give it a go!

Now you can distress your design any way you like, whether it's using your inks to distress your images or your scissors or tools to rough up the edges of your cards....just take out all your stress on your papers!!! haha!!

For my card, I used the shaggy dog Odie! Now you can get these fabulous stamps at the High Hopes Website or some other stores carry them as well, including The Town Scrapper and Scrappin' Great Deals!! I stamped the image on Wausau paper with Memento ink and coloured him in using my Copic markers, of course!

The card base is Kraft cardstock and the dp is Parisian Breeze by Stampin' Up. I used Chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze to accent, pop dotted both layers and distressed the edges of the papers with Walnut Stain ink. I added a button with some brown linen thread, some kraft ribbon tags and stamped the sentiment right on the dp!

Whew!! I feel more relaxed already....don't you??? No?? Well, then you'd better get stampin'!!! haha!! Not only will it help you chill out, but you could win some free stamps....the ones on this card!!!

Now hop on over to the HHBlog and check out all the other amazing creations to inspire you! Not only that, but the new April release of HH Stamps are up on the website for you to seeeeeeeeeeee!!! And here's a secret....The Town Scrapper has them in stock already!!! Shhhhh!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!

High Hopes Hullaballoooooo....Day Three!!

Well, the day is finally here.........well, in a few hours, I guess. This is the last day of sneakie peeks from the newest release of High Hopes Rubber Stamps!!! They will be up on the site in the weeeee hours of Sunday morning, so be sure to sit down with a nice cuppa coffee in the a.m. and check them all out!!

For my last sample I have used this adorable butterfly image! I just wanna squeeze her little cheeks!! The colours were inspired by this wonderful pad by Daisy D's that my Mom brought me (along with a few others) over the Easter weekend. Thanks Momma!!! Aren't the pinks and purples just yummy??

I stamped the image on my Canson 150lb drawing paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her in with my Copics. The card base is a 6x6 square Orchid Opulence card (hardly ever use that colour) and the matting around the dp is Mint Melody...remember that colour? It's retired now but I have a few sheets left. I also used Pretty in Pink. I added some lovely 'ribbon' I guess you would call it, but it's more like a bunch of threads intertwined. My Mom gave me that too! I attached some Prima flowers with Basic Grey brads and added the coordinating buttons to the main panel. I love the sentiment too!

Now be sure to stop by these other Divas' blogs to check out what they've done....you will not be disappointed:

High Hopes Hullaballoooooo...Day Two!!!

It's time for another High Hopes Hullaballoo sneakie peek!! This time I used one of the new cutie crawlies.....I call them that because they just aren't creepy! Too cute to be creepy, don't you agree??

I pulled out my Marrakech 6x6 pad to use as inspiration for this card as I thought the colours were perfect!! I stamped the image on Canson 150lb drawing paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured it in with my Copics. The layout is actually from the Truly Scrumptious challenge for this week and it's an AWESOME sketch...I love it!!

The card base is Pacific Point and the image is matted on Tangerine Tango. I used my Martha Stewart fern leaf punch and added some more of my dollar store paper flowers in a bunch. The sentiment is actually from the last release but is just right for this image. I finished it off by adding some blue brads and some white acrylic paint for highlights.

Now don't forget that these stamps are not available until the wee hours of Sunday morning....but you can drool over them along with us, until then!!

Be sure to check out the other super creations by the Divas!!

High Hopes Hullaballoooooooo...Day One!

Woohooo!! The day is here...I can finally start sharing some of my designs featuring the new High Hopes release stamps!!! Yippeee!

Honestly, it's been killing me not to be able to show these to anyone, 'cause they are SO dang cute!!! I hope you like cute kiddies and I hope ya like creepy crawlies....I mean cutie crawlies!!

So today my card features this new adorable Pajama Girl....actually I don't know her official name because they aren't available until Sunday morning!! Let's just call her Pajama Girl! I stamped her on my new favourite Canson 150lb drawing paper, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her in with my Copic markers.

The patterned papers that I drew my colour inspiration from are by Dream Street. The cardstock is all Bazzill Bling and I pierced around the largest panel. I used my new Apron Lace border punch by Fiskars on the green strip across the middle, added some white satin ribbon and stamped the sentiment on the smaller square panel. The paper flowers you see were found at the dollar store in a bunch. I just snipped off the stems and attached them with glue dots. The main layer is pop dotted and I added some pearls to the corner!! Ain't she a doll!??

Altered Tin Class at SGD!!

Hey there gals!! I just thought I'd let the local girls know about our upcoming class at Scrappin' Great Deals! I worked on it over the weekend and I think it's super cute!!!

First we take this little toploading tin lunchbox and make it look all pretty! You get to choose your own patterned papers and coordinating cardstock and dress up your tin. You'll decorate it with flowers, ribbon, brads, a Tim Holtz fragmentz tag and rubon! After that we'll be making little dividers to go in your tin, so that you can store your smaller cards, giftcards and tags inside.

AND as if that isn't enough fun for ya....we'll also be stampin a couple of cards to fill up your box! These cards will feature My Favorite Things stamp sets, pretty papers and some embellishments.

I'm sharing the photos of my tin and the card I created and my co-stamper Andrea, is designing the other card!

So if you wanna hang out, stamp, get crafty and have some fun....just call Sheila at the store (519-473-5751) and reserve your spot!!

Rain, Rain, Go Away.....

People look at me funny when I tell them that I hate spring. Why, you ask? Because I hate the rain and wet and mud and sloppiness of spring. I love the sunshine and the warmth and the flowers....and you need the rain for the flowers to grow....yah, yah. But ....blech, I hate the rain. So this card is me. Although this birdie looks much cuter than me.....especially when I'm pushing my way through the wind with the rain pelting me in the face as I walk to work from the parking lot across the street. One time, my umbrella even flew up and turned itself inside out. And it wasn't one of those nice, little, elegant umbrellas....it was a one of those giant ones from IKEA that you can see coming from a mile away. Just a tad embarassing.

Anyhoo, this card is for today's challenge over at the All That Scraps Blog. The challenge is very easy....to use buttons!! And I loves me my buttons!!!

I chose to play with one of the adorable birdie images from the Tweeties stamp set, which was released last week. I stamped him on Wausau cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used my Copics to colour him in. I was inspired by the colours in the Urban Prairie dp by Basic Grey and coloured him up accordingly. I used my new fancy schmancy Octagon shaped Nesties and the cardstock is all Bazzill. The sentiment is from the Spring Thing stamp set and I punched it out using one of my oval punches. I pop dotted everything and then threaded some buttons with embroidery floss and attached them in a cluster using glue dots. The final touch was adding a few highlights on the umbrella with a white gel pen.

Later today, some other wonderful creations by some other DT members will be posted on the ATS Blog, so be sure to hop over and check 'em out! And then get busy makin' your own button lovin' card!!!

Have a super Wednesday, stampers!!!!
