Well, you've reached the end of today's Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps NEW Release HOP!! And sadly, I have nothing new to share with you.....I was up much too late preparing for the release and didn't get my card finished!! BUT I am reposting one of my faves from this release because I wouldn't want you to forget about the *new* IN STITCHES stamp set!!!
Such a fantastic set of stamps that you can whip out anytime you like, rather than lug out your giant sewing machine (which frightens me anyway!). The set has three different types of stitches, all 6 inches in length so you can do the length of a 6x6 card or scrapbook page in one shot! And each stitch comes in two different sizes. Also you get four awesome sentiments so you can make tons of cards just with this one set!!! It'll keep you IN STITCHES!! Hahahaha!
Here's my design.....kinda vintage and distressed....a step outside of the box for me, but I like the way it turned out!

Sure Superman is pretty cool and hey, Batman does look nice in that suit.....but I think there are so many people in our real lives that are EVERYDAY SUPERHEROES!!! Don't you??? Soooooooo I decided to ask Annie to create these incredible new stamps with that in mind!!
Today is day three of our February Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and I have a feeling you are gonna love the new images!! The image I used today is called Rescue Ranger! This friend has come to my rescue before and I know I've had to don the Ranger hat on more than one occasion, how about you???
Today is also challenge day over at the KKStamps challenge blog and we've got this fun sketch by Michele to inspire you! I know it inspired me and I'll use this sketch over and over again!! It's great!
I stamped her on Neenah using Memento ink and coloured her up with my Copics. I had a hoot colouring this image....love her hat, her hair and that cool jacket!! The papers I used are from the Yearography 6x6 pad by Simple Stories....I just love the colours and the distressed look. I distressed all the papers even further using ink on the edges. I used some Nestabilities to cut the main image layer out and distressed it with the same ink while it was still in the die.
The flowers are cut out of thin cork using some flower dies and I added some glittery red dots for the centers. Lastly I stamped the sentiment that comes with Rescue Ranger on a tab die layer!! I really love the way she turned out and she's ready to go lift someone's spirits!!

Well, it's day THREE of our Krafty Peeks for the February release at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!! And today we're sharing new artwork from the incredible Emilie Goulet!!
There are TWO new sets from Emilie this month. First we did doggies, then cats and what do you suppose we're doing this month??? Well, our feathered friends, of course!!! They're called Tweets and Twitters 1 and 2!!!
The image I used is the owl.....oh, how I love owls! Totally cute....not to mention all the fun sentiments to go with him!! They're a....HOOT!!! I coloured Mr. Owl up with my Copic markers and used the papers from my MME Sunshine 6x6 pad from the Lost and Found collection as inspiration! I love this guy....and I love the fact that he's reading....my favourite thing to do, second only to stamping!!!
I added some polka dot scalloped ribbon and attached some scrumptious flowers using large brown corduroy brads! I also added some crystal lacquer to his spectacles to make 'em shiny! Then I stamped one of the fun sentiments and yay! I'm done!

Okay, so you will rarely see stitching on my creations. I LOVE seeing stitching on cards but I am completely 'sewing challenged'. Well, that and I'm lazy and hate hauling out my sewing machine.....but I digress. I do it so rarely that I forget how to thread the thing....then the tension is always wrong and it inevitably eats the beautiful designer papers I am trying to sew on. I end up having a hissy fit and my husband will say, 'Just walk away for a minute.....or just don't sew on your cards.' and I say, 'But it looks so NICE!' through my gritted teeth!!
SO instead of whining about how I hate to sew, I thought, hey....you own a stamp company, why not MAKE a SEWING STAMP SET!!!! Enter our special new stamp set......called IN STITCHES!!
It includes three different stitches....straight, zig zag and cross stitch....each in two different sizes PLUS four great sewing sentiments!! And the great thing is, they are bare rubber (I always put mine on cling mount) and you can bend them and stamp the stitches around the bends and curves on your creations!!!
For my card I used the sweet Baby Steps 6x6 pad from Simple Stories. I found a beautiful piece of quilted paper in there, along with the coordinating patterns. I stamped the zig zag stitch around the main layer and the straight stitch across the middle layer. I then distressed all the patterned paper layers with distress ink. I added one of the awesome sentiments, some lace, some buttons and linen thread and BAM!!! Easy peasy friendship card!! And I didn't have to haul out my evil sewing machine!! haha!
This new set will be available, along with all the other new stamps and sets that we will be sharing over the next few days, on Sunday in the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps shop!!!

If there's any day in the year that should be magical, it should be your birthday! That's what I say! So I made a magical birthday card to celebrate my day!

I used the lovely Tabitha on this design with a bit of a vintage feel! Love the papers and lace and I distressed all the edges of the papers. I papers pieced Tabitha's lovely dress and shaded a bit with my Copic markers! (Did I mention that I just received the NEW Copic colours from One Crazy Stamper and I can't WAIT to play with them!?!) Lastly I added a gorgeous swirl of rhinestones coming from her magical wand!!!
