Challenge 139 - It's Summah-time!!!

We've got a fun summertime challenge for you this week over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog!!!  Our hostess is the sweet PAM and she wants us to use BRIGHT COLOURS because it's SUMMAH-TIME!!!


I got the chance to finally play with this awesome image from our Going Places Kit!!  I was a little nervous to tackle the car, but I think it turned out just right!!!  I pulled out my Summer Days 6x6 pad from Echo Park and coloured up the image in coordinating colours!

I wanted to keep the image as the focal point so I didn't make the card too busy....just added a couple of coordinating papers, some matching cardstock, some yummy ribbon from The Ribbon Carousel and a couple of cloud dies to hold the sentiment which is actually from the Goddess Sentiments set!

It's time to PAPERPLAY!!

I'm so excited to be joining the dt over at the Paperplay Challenges blog today!!  Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is sponsoring their latest challenge which is all about....THE OLYMPICS!!!!  How fun!


I knew that most of the girls would probably be using sporty images, so I decided to use one of the stamps from our Goddess release because I thought the image and sentiment worked with the theme!

This is Gaia....and I had a great time colouring her!!! I stamped her up on Neenah cardstock and coloured her using my Copic markers, keeping with the blue and green earth colours in the Bo Bunny papers.  I distressed all the paper edges using Vintage Photo Distress Ink, then added three rows of lace and ribbon across the middle.  I finished it off by adding the sentiment and two green resin flowers!

Most people love the different sports in the Olympic games but my favourite part is the fact that thousands of athletes from all over the world are coming together at one time in one place!  So awesome!  And I can't wait to watch!  How about you??

Kraftin' Kimmie's HOPPIN' with Ribbon Carousel!

Oh BOY!  Hang on to your hats!  We have a TREAT for you today!

The Krafty Girls and I are super stoked to be teaming up with the designers from The Ribbon Carousel to bring you a blog hop that is sure to knock your socks off! 

And here is my card!!!  Now this is a super big deal because this is the first card I've made in about six weeks!!  I was terribly afraid I'd 'lost it'....but I'm excited to say that I really enjoyed making this card and loved the way it turned out!!

I used an image from the super sweet Springtime Lulu set and paired it with the bright and colourful papers from Summer Days Echo Park 6x6 pad.  I stamped Lulu up and coloured her using my Copic markers....poor neglected markers.  I added some lovely pink ribbon and turquoise trim from the Ribbon Carousel, added a bunch of pretty flowers and leaves and voila!!
